First, there were convertible cars. Then there were convertible laptops. Now, Olympic Arms has introduced the first-ever convertible rifle.
The new MPR (Multi Purpose Rifle) 308-15 is designed with a lower billet receiver that accepts AR uppers in all calibers, as well as Olympic’s specially designed .308 upper for the new rifle.
The MPR joins a long list of Olympic firsts. The company was the first to produce AR platforms chambered in 9x19mm, .45 ACP, 10mm, 7.62×39 and WSSM calibers.
The rifle is offered in three configurations – precision rifle, mid-length tactical carbine and entry-level carbine. Each model comes with a button-rifled 416 stainless steel bull barrel. Pricing begins at $1,267.50 for the entry-level. The precision rifle is available for $1,688.70.
Olympic is now accepting orders for the new rifle, and deliveries are expected to begin in February.
